Work of the Future @MIT Webinar
On April 29, the MIT Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) is sponsoring a Zoom webinar on work's future for the MIT community and ILP members. The speakers at the webinar, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. EDT, include three MIT Sloan faculty members from the MIT Institute for Work and Employment Research (IWER)—Erin L. Kelly, Thomas A. Kochan, and Nathan Wilmers—who are also affiliated with IWER's Good Companies, Good Jobs Initiative.
Kelly, who is the Sloan Distinguished Professor of Work and Organization Studies at MIT Sloan, is also Co-Director of IWER and Faculty Director of the Good Companies, Good Jobs Initiative at MIT Sloan. During the April 29th webinar, she will speak on the future of remote and hybrid work, discussing both lessons from her research and post-pandemic strategies.
Kochan, who is the George M. Bunker Professor of Management and a Professor of Work and Organization Studies at MIT Sloan, will give a a presentation focused on the changing workforce and economy. Wilmers, who is the Sarofim Family Career Development Professor and an Assistant Professor of Work and Organization Studies at MIT Sloan, will discuss pay inequality, its causes, and how we can build an economy that works for everyone.
